Many public authorities from across Europe are already buying Fair Trade products through public tendering. In the documents downloadable below you will find good examples from four different European countries.

• Austria - During the Austrian Presidency of the EU the Lebensministerium launched an intiative to have Fair Trade products available at all events relating to the Presidency.

• Italy - The municipalities of Rome and Settimo Torinese have successfully introduced Fair Trade products into school canteens.

• The Netherlands - The Provinces of Utrecht and Zuid Holland carried out a joint procurement of Fair Trade drinks for vending machines.
