The guidance presented on this website has been expanded into a training toolkit on Fair Trade in public procurement. The training toolkit is aimed at providing employees in any European public authority with all the information needed to begin the effective procurement of Fair Trade products for their catering activities. It is designed in such a way that it is also applicable to an audience with no prior knowledge of Fair Trade issues in procurement.

The toolkit consists of three complementary Power Point sessions and includes the respective trainer's notes.

• Session A:         provides a general introduction to Fair Trade in public
                              procurement 

• Session B1/2:  addresses legal considerations and insecurities and 
                              includes model tenders as well as accompanying 
                              measures for the purchase of Fair Trade products

• Session C:        proposes further ways of promoting Fair Trade through
                              public authorities
